What was once a narrow galley kitchen is now an open, welcoming space that flows effortlessly into the rest of the home.

By removing the wall between the kitchen and entryway, along with outdated soffits, the room instantly feels taller and more expansive. New cabinetry extends closer to the ceiling for a modern look, while still allowing room for hidden wiring and ductwork, neatly finished with custom trim.

Smart layout changes made a big impact, too. A microwave drawer was tucked into a base cabinet, freeing up space for a striking chimney-style hood above the range. Even better, the home's original hardwood floors were carefully preserved and seamlessly filled where the wall once stood, keeping the character of the home intact.

Finished with soft linen-painted cabinetry, quartz countertops, a warm-toned composite sink, and a classic subway tile backsplash, the kitchen now feels timeless, functional, and inviting.

In the master bathroom, removing walls made all the difference.

By eliminating the divider between the vanity and shower areas, along with a second doorway, the room feels more open and easier to move through. The once-cramped shower was nearly doubled in size and now features a sleek, two-sided glass enclosure.

Durable solid surface shower walls and a matching base create a clean, modern look that's also easy to maintain, while new luxury vinyl tile flooring adds warmth and comfort underfoot.

The Hall Bath: A Simple Refresh with Smart Choices

The hall bath received a practical yet polished update designed for everyday use.

The original cast iron tub and tile surround were replaced with a fresh acrylic tub and solid surface walls for a brighter, easier-to-clean finish. To keep the project efficient, new tile flooring was installed over the existing base, saving time and cost without sacrificing style.

A painted vanity adds a soft, updated look, and removing one sink created more usable counter space, a simple change that makes daily routines feel more comfortable.
